D’Nasia Thompson – VP of Hospitality

As an incoming senior at Arbor View High School for the 2017-2018 school year, D’Nasia Thompson is beyond excited and honored to serve Nevada DECA as the first Vice President of Hospitality.

Joining her sophomore year, D’Nasia had no idea DECA would offer so many opportunities to learn crucial leadership skills and build amazing relationships within the organization. She looks forward to fulfilling her potential as a leader and bringing Nevada DECA to new heights. Her passion for creating positive change and engaging herself in educational organizations drove her to serve as Arbor View DECA’s Vice President of Hospitality and the secretary of Arbor View’s Black Student Union for the 2016-2017 school year.

As an active member of her high school’s National Honor Society for three years, she has volunteered over 200 hours of community service. Her love for reading inspired her to volunteer at her local library and she was presented the Volunteer Appreciation Award by the Las Vegas-Clark County Library District Foundation in 2016. Thoroughly involved in her academics, D’Nasia was awarded the Arbor View Academic Letter Award in 2016.

In the quest to expand her knowledge, D’Nasia plans to earn a degree and pursue a career in Business Administration. The skills she has obtained from experiences in DECA have motivated her to pursue her dreams. Her favorite quote, by Walt Disney, is “If you can dream it, you can do it!”
