Honored and proud to serve as your 2016-2017 Nevada DECA Vice President of Publicity, Kevin Camelo aims to bring the association to new heights by working alongside his fellow state officers. Enrolled in the Web Design program at Southwest CTA, he will be entering his senior year in the fall of 2016.
Since joining DECA during his sophomore year of high school, Kevin has learned that the skills he has gained both in public relations and networking are the highlights of his DECA career. Serving as his chapters Vice President of Publicity during his junior year, Kevin has learned to engage various subcultures and unite chapters through events such as the Fall DECA Picnic. Kevin has also received recognition for placing first in Business Services Marketing for two years in a row at SCDC.
In addition to DECA, Kevin has been a member of SkillsUSA for two years and is actively engaged in the National Honor Society. In the future, Kevin aspires to pursue a career in Advertising Design, using the skills he has developed in Web Design as a foundation for future success. Throughout his life, Kevin has found a deep affection for musical theory and uses his free time to analyze patterns in his favorite songs. As a career goal, Kevin hopes to use his experience in design and music to show the world the power of rhythm.
Kevin’s personal success is largely attributable to the lessons he has learned as a member of DECA. Kevin Camelo is thrilled to serve the members of Nevada DECA and plans to show them how to use their DECA voice and find new opportunities and experiences to grow as a person.
