Las Vegas DECA Picnic Recap!
On September 4th, 2014, Southwest Career and Technical Academy hosted their annual Las Vegas DECA Fall Picnic for this school year. This was the fourth time that they held this event and approximately 120 students attended.
The morning started with several people helping set up the park tables with food. There were plenty of food and snacks that people brought for the potluck and those that attended enjoyed, listening to music, and meeting other enthusiastic DECA members.
Then, at noon, the games started. The very first game, Tug-Of-War, was played between officers from different chapters who eagerly fought for the "strongest chapter" title. Afterwards, the games continued to include a donut eating contest, Cook-To-Face, egg toss, and a water balloon toss that was followed by a water balloon fight.. At 2:00 PM, the games were finished and group pictures were taken. Left-over food was given to homeless people in the area so it would not go to waste. Everyone that went seemed to have a great time and SWCTA DECA is excited to see how the Spring Picnic will go!
