Nevada DECA Celebrates Emerging Leader Honor Award Recipients!!
In Nevada DECA, we are so proud of the way our students not only excel in competition, but also dedicate themselves to giving back to their community in DECA and beyond. These students do so with no expectation of recognition or reward, but their efforts do not go unnoticed. In recognition, of this outstanding work, DECA Inc. has awarded the Emerging Leader Honor Award to student leaders across the world, including eight of our very own Nevada DECA members!
With great esteem and appreciation, we congratulate the following students for receiving this prestigious award:
- Former state officer, D’nasiaThompson from Arbor View High School
- Katelyn Donaker from Basic Academy
- Kobe Hopkins from Basic Academy
- Connor McDonald from Basic Academy
- Brittney Pauli from Basic Academy
- Madison Upton from Basic Academy
- and Danny Vella from Basic Academy
These students each completed a marketing, business management, entrepreneurship, finance or hospitality and tourism course with a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher. Additionally, they participated in various service and engagement-focused activities, including the promotion of DECA and its mission, involvement in a school-based enterprise, and participation in at least one DECA competition.
To these Nevada DECA leaders, thank you for everything you do for your chapters, your associations, and your community. Your service-oriented mentality and scholastic achievements not only help to represent our state association, but also inspire fellow DECA members around the world. Thank you!
