On February 9-11, 2014 the Flamingo Resort in Las Vegas hosted the largest-ever Nevada DECA State Career Development Conference. Over 825 Nevada DECA members and advisors were in attendance for the three-day event.

The conference began with State Officer candidate interviews, competitive event testing, a welcome banquet for members and advisors, and of course the thrilling Opening Session! The next day, members dived into their competitive events; visited exciting workshops and the Leadership Village to enhance their experience and meet new people; participated in the UNLV Collegiate DECA reception to learn more about DECA in college; and visited exhibitor and campaign booths to learn more about Nevada DECA's partners and new student leaders. The evening ended with an array of entertainment options, ranging from the Entrepreneurship Accelerator program hosted by former "Shark Tank" contestant Jason Lucash, to the Battle of the Chapters Quiz Show, to the evening version of the Leadership Village, complete with photo booth.

Winners for the top placing members in competitive events were revealed at the Grand Awards Session. Furthermore, the 2013-2014 State Officers gave their farewell, and introduced the 2014-2015 State Officers. The winners of the competitive events qualified to attend the International Career Development Conference in Atlanta, Georgia!

Congratulations to all of our winners, and we will see you in May for ICDC!
