Three Nevada DECA Members Receive Scholarships

DECA’s scholarship program provides over $300,000 in scholarships to high school and collegiate DECA members at the International Career Development Conference (ICDC) each year. Many corporate partners of DECA provide scholarships through the DECA scholarship program, which is strictly merit based. DECA Inc. manages the program based on guidelines set forth by the contributor.

The exhilarating results of this year’s DECA scholarship winners have come out, and Nevada DECA has three scholarship winners! These three amazing winners are Jennifer Jaimes, from East CTA, Alyssa Nikoley from West CTA, and former State Officer Alison Ryu also from West CTA. Jennifer Jaimes received $2,000 from Western Region, Alyssa Nikoley received $1,000 from Western Region, and Alison Ryu received $1,000 from DECA Inc.

Moreover, these three scholarship winners will be recognized during the Closing Session, Tuesday, April 28, at ICDC. The scholarship recipients will need to attend a mandatory scholarship rehearsal and reception. This rehearsal ceremony also provides those scholarship winners the chance to meet with and show gratitude to their sponsors!

Once again, congratulations to all of the scholarship winners; your hard work and dedication have definitely paid off! Nevada DECA sincerely hopes all three of you seize this amazing opportunity and thrive at ICDC!
